lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage

Manual lymph drainage is a form of physical therapy.
It serves as a therapy for oedema and swollen body
regions, such as body trunk and extremities, which
may arise after abdominal and / or breast cancer
surgery. Circular massage techniques are applied
with light pressure to shift fluid from the tissue into
the lymphatic system. This is suitable treatment for
all orthopedic and trauma problems which cause a
swelling (such as sprains, strains, torn muscles, ect...)
Further areas of treatment include chronic inflammation,
scar treatment and treatment after cosmetic surgery.

The duration of the treatment depends on the symptomatology.
